“Turning into a calle, walking under a porch, finding oneself in a crowded Venetian campo, among fish or fruit stalls, or in a sun-splashed fondamenta pavement along the canal caressed by the sea breeze, or in a rio largo walk on whose shores the boats moor: the essence of Venice is experiencing the unexpected and a relentless immersion into a unique form of beauty.
Near the Church of Santa Maria Formosa, in the Castello district, there is my home: a space of freedom where I can relax while reading a book, preparing an afternoon tea or a delicious dinner to share with friends. Returning there in the evening, after having experienced the city, visited its homes, greeted people on the street, and met the architects and professionals I work with, is a triumph and, at the same time, a privilege.
Indeed, it is within the walls of one’s home that the four fundamental elements of life find full expression: water, earth, air, fire. It is no wonder, in fact, that primitive societies attributed a sacred value to their abode: the house maps the topography of our being, of our affections and interests.
Through the Real Estate that bears my name, every day I recognize the importance of the emotional and experiential make-up of those looking for a home in Venice. Every need, whether manifest or not, is intertwined with experience and expresses a highly individual perspective on life in the city on water. Accompanying people through the streets and letting them explore the homes that I have identified and chosen for them, means crossing with the utmost respect an extremely personal space, and going beyond the mere care for the formal aspects of a sale or a lease”.
